The Mazeguider has been an iconic figure in Vancouver's tribal dance underground for nearly 15 years, playing festivals & events throughout Vancouver, B.C. and the Pacific Northwest. With sets that can take people out to the edge of time and awareness, the Mazeguider's undeniable signature style reflects the sophistication of a music performer of nearly two decades.
As Bruce Lee famously taught how “emotional content” is everything, this description could be applied to the Mazeguider’s mixes. No fluff here. Only the cream of those pushing the edges outwards, mapping the uncharted territories of new electronic dance music that invites & compels us to feel something brand new and unmistakably delicious in our emotions, minds and bodies.
Currently, the Mazeguider's dancefloor focus plays in the realms of Glitchhop, Glitchstep, Crunk & Midtempo Breaks. However, he maintains a strong hand in Techno, Tech-House, ElectroHouse, Breaks & Progressive, as well as a large range of Downtempo, and can throw down amply in any of these styles.
He has played festivals such as Entheos, Intention, Shambhala, the Oracle Gatherings, Earthdance, as well as events by Perception, Beats Without Borders, Beleaf, Playground and more. He has shared the stage with fine artists, such as Gaudi, Vibesquad, Cheb I Sabbah, Adham Shaikh, Bluetech, Noah Pred, Makyo, Souls of Mischief, and many more. As a speaker on Transformational Festivals he has presented as TEDxVancouver, Hollyhock, Entheos, Beloved, Symbiosis, Shambhala Festival, and more.
To be at the helm of the big stereo, transmitting the frequencies, while the tribe gathers in the time-honoured rituals of celebration, is a privileged place to hold. Each set represents a constantly renewed possibility for the community gathered to rekindle our ecstasy, remember our connectedness and rejuvenate our life-forces.
